Chandi is the combined form of tri goddesses of Lakshmi, Parvathi and Saraswathi. She is considered to be most ferocious and inaccessible and condones evil acts. Chandi represents the creative power of Brahma- the Creator and as a merciless destroyer of opposition. Chandi Homam invokes positive vibrations by eliminating negative energies around us. It, also called as Chandi Yagam, helps in overcoming obstacles in life, attaining success over enemies, eliminating negativity, bestowing positive thoughts, insulating from evil curses.
Chandi Homam is to be performed in a most austere manner, complete with dedication. The ritual usually is performed over a period of 3 days (minimum) with the recitation of 700 slokas from Chandi Sapta Sati.
